29th Macau International Music Festival – A “Soundmazing” experience

The 29th Annual Macau International Music Festival was held this year from the 4th of October to the 1st of November in a number of venues around Macau, including the Macao Cultural Centre, Mount Fortress, St. Dominic’s Church and Don Pedro V Theatre. This year’s festival celebrated performances from the genres of folk, pop, fusion, jazz and contemporary while embracing the themes of grand opera, music theatre, symphonic, choral and chamber music. Events included 23 programs performed by leading acts from around the world as well as a number of workshops focused on art and public interest.

Travellers looking to catch the MIMF action next year will want to stay in a central location to catch as many of the events as possible. If you plan to stay for the entire festival in Macau, serviced apartments are a good way to go. The newly opened Ascott Macau is an ideal base while staying in the city. With its 110 guestrooms and suites, it’s a good choice for travellers looking for comfort and convenience.
