50 Chinese Couples Marry in Sri Lanka – Mass Ceremony in the Paradise Island

50 couples from China got exchanged vows in Colombo on Sunday in a mass wedding ceremony conducted in the island’s Buddhist traditions. While some couples wore Western and Chinese clothes, most were dressed in the traditional attire of Sri Lanka’s mountainous central region. According to officials, the couples were not only newly-weds, they also had married couples renewing their vows.
