Air India Connects Colombo and Varanasi with non-stop Flight – Here’s to a New Era in Aviation!

Air India began nonstop flights between Colombo and Varanasi on the 8th of August this year. The inaugural flight landed at the Bandaranaike International Airport with ceremonial water salutes. It is the belief of the national air carrier of India that this initiation will establish a new era of tourism between the two countries, mainly due to the constant inflow of pilgrims. The flights are scheduled to depart twice a week on Sundays and Fridays. The departure of the said flights from Varanasi is at 1235 hours and arrival at Colombo at 1555 hours and departure from Colombo would be at 1655 hours and arrival in Varanasi at 2020 hours. Visitors departing from Varanasi may catch the wonderful attractions in the city of Colombo while staying at a Colombo city hotel including the centrally located Colombo Court Hotel & Spa; before heading to explore the north and south of the country.
