AirAsia Launches New Direct Flights to Phuket from July 1st – Opening Up New Destinations

Beginning from 1st July 2018, AirAsia will be commencing direct flights to Phuket, Thailand from Penang, Malaysia. These direct flights will be available daily and will give travellers a chance to easily visit this popular Thai island which offers Phuket resort and hotel accommodation with available options including Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas. Phuket is not the only destination that has been added by AirAsia, with direct flights from Penang to Hanoi in Vietnam also scheduled to begin from 1st July.

As part of a promotion strategy coinciding with these two new routes, AirAsia will be offering special one way, all-in-fares from Penang starting from RM79 to Phuket and RM99 to Hanoi. This promotion will be valid from 1st July to 28th October 2018. Regarding these new routes, Commercial Director of AirAsia Malaysia, Spencer Lee commented that the company expected this move to make a significant contribution to the tourism sectors of the three respective countries.
