Archaeological Team on Sir Bani Yas Island Finds 4,000-Year-Old Trading Post – A Great Discovery that will Dedefine History!

A group of archaeologists have unearthed evidence that proves the existence of a 4000 year old trading post in a dig site in the Sir Bani Yas Island. The island was already home to over 64 archaeological sites each showcasing a myriad of monuments and ruins belonging to different eras. The recently discovered artefacts were retrieved from one of these sites which are located in the island and it has been discovered that the artefacts found here belong to the bronze era.

The dig site is located near Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island Al Sahel Villas which is one of the Abu Dhabi luxury hotels situated in the island. The artefacts that have been recovered in the site include fragments of clay pots, cooking utensils and tools made of bronze. This discovery proves that UAE played a major role on bronze and copper imports and functioned as a trading post during the bronze era.
