Bonfire Night London Firework Displays – Lighting Up The Skies!

Celebrated every 5th of November, Bonfire Night is a day famous for its many fireworks displays that can be witnessed in London. This popular event has its roots in a historic incident that took place in 1605 when Guy Fawkes who was involved in what was known as the Gunpowder Plot tried to, but failed to blow up the Houses of Parliament. As part of a symbolic act, the Houses of Parliament’s cellars are still checked before the State Opening of Parliament. Also known as Guy Fawkes’ Night, this event features firework shows at many prominent city venues. An ideal way to easily visit these sites would be to stay at one of the many centrally located London serviced apartments such as Citadines St Marks London which provides easy access to the city. Apart from fireworks, Bonfire Night is also marked by the many bonfires where you can also witness the burning of Guy Fawkes effigies.
