Broome Courthouse Markets – A Major Tourist Attraction!

A major tourist attraction, the Broome Courthouse Markets are a regular happening which is held at the idyllic heritage listed garden of the Broome Courthouse every Saturday all year round and Sunday from April to October.

Started over 25 years by a group of locals who wished to trade products, the market now has expanded to include up to 115 stalls run by creative entrepreneurs during the dry season. The courthouse can also be accessed easily by those staying at hotels in Broome including the likes of Oaks Broome. Visitors to the market can browse stalls selling fashionable clothing, intricate jewellery, leather goods, homeware, skin care lines, books, and organically produced vegetable and fruits. Entertainment in the form of local and visiting musicians playing reggae, blues, folk, calypso, soul, jazz and rock can also be enjoyed by everyone from the balcony of the Cable House.
