Chiang Mai gearing up for ASEAN Economic Community (AEC)

The ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) is being launched this year with the aim of being the goal of regional economic integration by 2015, and Chiang Mai is all geared up for it with new developments taking place in the province.

The city with its many religious and other attractions is the largest and most culturally significant city in Northern Thailand and in 2013 welcomed a staggering number of 7 million tourists.
