China’s Lucky Air to Commence Flights to Maldives – Increasing Tourist Arrivals

It was recently announced that starting from January 2018, Chinese budget airline Lucky Air will commence flights from Maldives to China. It is a move that is bound to bring increased tourist numbers from China with visitors having many Maldives resort options to choose from including such names as Anantara Veli Maldives Resort. Confirmed by Adil Moosa, the Managing Director of Maldives Airports Company Limited, this new airline service will link Kunming in China to the Maldives. Lucky Air which belongs to Hainan Airlines is based in Kunming and will provide Chinese tourists with easy access to this popular holiday destination. Presently Maldivian Airlines offers connections to six destinations in China. According to the Maldivian government, several other airlines are also slated to begin flights to Maldives next year including Air France.
