Chinese New Year Celebrations in Hua Hin – Happy Spring Festival

The Chinese New Year is known by several names such as the Lunar New Year and the Spring Festival. It is usually a cultural and, to some extent, a religious festival that is celebrated by the Chinese. With globalisation becoming increasingly palpable and the diffusion of people across borders, the Chinese New Year is celebrated in many different countries with the festivities usually being centralised in the country’s Chinatown.

Under the patronage of the Hua Hin Municipality, the Chinese New Year was glamorously celebrated on the 2nd February 2018 from 5pm onwards at the Pone Kingpetch Memorial Park. This memorial park is located in close proximity to accommodation options such as AVANI Hua Hin Resort & Villas. During this event, the Thai-Chinese citizens, as well as the tourists who made use of the whopping Hua Hin hotel deals, got the opportunity to meet and greet each other.
