Dubai Marina’s Orange Water Mystery – Puzzle Solved!

Authorities in Dubai were recently confronted with a bizarre occurrence when a strange, orange coloured substance had flown into the water near the Dubai Marina. After being noticed by those in its proximity, social media was soon abuzz with talk and pictures of the orange water. However, upon inspection, the authorities confirmed that the change in colour was the result of a chemical known as Bentonite which posed no threat to public health and the environment. The water had apparently flown in to the water from a nearby construction site in Qarn Al Sabkha and this was brought to light by the Assistant Director of the Dubai Municipality for Environment and Public Health Services, Talib Julfar.
