Emirates Hoping to Get Laptop Ban Lifted – Putting New Measures in Place

The recent reports on the famous news portal, Gulf News revealed that Emirates Airlines is willing to adhere to the new security measures on direct flights from the Middle East to the United States. The largest airline in the Middle East further said that these measures would be implemented and that it will hopefully replace the in-cabin ban on electronics including laptops on direct flights to the United States. The Emirates spokesperson stated that the airline welcomes the latest directives on improved screening methods of the US Department of Homeland Security. Accordingly, those visiting the Middle East from the United States with the intent of holidaying in the city or at Sir Bani Yas Island hotels namely the options offered by Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island Resorts could benefit as well since they can freely travel with their laptops. Direct competitors of Emirates, Etihad Airways declared that their pre-clearance facility at the Abu Dhabi International Airport hub already adheres to the short-term measures drafted in the directive.
