Hikkaduwa Marine National Park Opens – Opening up the waters of Hikkaduwa

In this period, when the Sri Lankan tourism industry is in the process of growing further, yet another growth booster has been added to the number of attractions on the island. The Hikkaduwa Marine National Park opened on the 29th of June this year. The Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Minister of Agrarian Services and Wildlife along with other urban council members were present at the opening.

The marine park covers an area of over 101 hectares and consists of a snorkelling zone, diving zone and a bathing zone.
