Integrated Tourism Digital Platform (ITDP) Implement in Sri Lanka – Improvements on the Way

The new Integrated Tourism Digital Platform (ITDP) was implemented in Sri Lanka with the expectation of increasing revenue from tourism and improving the industry as a whole. Apart from integrated tourism & travel analytics some of the other key aspects of the platform include security screening of travellers, tourist insurance and integrated global airlines information.

This is all a part of the Sri Lanka Tourism Strategic Plan from 2017-2020 which had an initial goal of increasing revenue from the tourism industry to seven billion US dollars; providing more local tourism sector jobs and increasing the daily amount spent by foreign travellers are amongst the other objectives of this plan.
