Maldives Bags Indian Ocean’s Leading Destination Award – Maldives Triumphs at World Travel Awards

One of the most famous tropical islands with many surprises for its enthusiastic visitors, Maldives has been named the leading destination in the Indian Ocean at the World Travel Awards ceremony which was held recently. The awards ceremony which itself is recognized as the Oscars of the travel industry also recognized Maldives as the Indian Ocean’s leading beach destination and Indian Oceans leading dive destination at the grand gala ceremony. The grand ceremony which was hosted at a five-star resort in Maldives was graced by leaders from the hospitality field across the region. Winners were selected based on an online voting process cast by a selected group of professionals from travel and hospitality industry.
