Oman records 15 Per cent rise in tourist arrivals – Record Highs in Tourism

Reports by the World Travel and Tourism Council have recently shown that Oman’s travel and hospitality industry is reaching new heights with a rise in investment reaching a staggering $1.17 billion by the year 2026. The first ten months of 2016 recorded a total of 2.5 million tourist arrivals to Oman, resulting in a 15% annual increase. In fact, according to the Senior Exhibition Director for the Arabian Travel Market, Simon Press, Oman has been added to the list of top ten places to visit in 2017. In addition to the Sultanate’s rich culture and heritage, 2017 brings the opening of the $120 million Majarat Oman futuristic theme park. So perhaps this summer a holiday in Oman, at a Salalah beach resort such as the Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara is exactly what the doctor ordered!
