The President of the Myanmar Tourism Federation, Mr. U Yan Win also proposed that it is helpful if the government could raise funds for tourism promotion and providing visa-free entry to tourists coming in from the member countries of ASEAN and those from China and Japan as well would be a good move. The current figure according to statistics reveals that 3.1 million tourists have arrived in the country with a 20% increase annually. Myanmar hopes to have 3.5 million in 2018 which will bring more accommodation bookings to Sedona Hotel Yangon and any other hotels in Yangon.
