Qatar Airways Adds Additional Capacity to Colombo – Bringing the A350 to Sri Lanka

In a move that offers a chance for more visitors to come to Sri Lanka, Qatar Airways recently commenced operating its A350 aircraft as part of its Colombo route. This airline has an additional capacity for 195 seats per day and is expected to meet the growing demand amongst those wanting to travel to the island.

The country has grown in its popularity as a tourist destination with several hospitality providers including names such as VC Villas & Resorts  featuring a variety of hotels and resorts in Sri Lanka in key destinations. The arrival of the award winning A350 aircraft which began its flights to Colombo in July saw the daily capacity of the airline go up by 15%. At present Qatar Airways flies to Colombo four times a day from the Hamad International Airport in Qatar.
