Ramadan 2017 – Ramadan Kareem 2017

Ramadan, the ninth month of the Muslim Calendar, is a fasting month for Muslims across the world. This religious festivity lasts for a month and devotes spend their time with the focal point set on contemplation and worship with little to care about the day-to -day life. Adhering to strict restraints and discreet lifestyle, Muslim devotees are forbidden from consuming food and drinks during daylight hours. Each fast day is ended with a meal named Iftar after which, Muslims visit their relatives and friends. However it’s notable that these traditions are not only practiced at households but also at luxurious resorts in Abu Dhabi such as the Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island Resorts. Guests lodged at such resorts can enjoy popular traditional Muslim cuisine during the holy month of Ramadan. Ramadan Kaareem which commenced on the 27th of May will be concluded on Eid-ulFitr which is scheduled to fall on the 26th of June. This particular day is declared when the crescent new moon makes its maiden appearance after 30 days of fasting.
