Ramadan Festival – A month of religious observance

Ramadan is celebrated and observed around the world in the ninth month of the Islamic Lunar calendar each year. This festival is celebrated in order to commemorate the revelation of the Holy Book to the Prophet. In the Maldives, the first and last day of Ramadan is observed as a public holiday.

During this time, it’s advised that you remember that Male will function a little differently, such as certain restaurants not being open during the day. However, you can continue with your planned holiday at Anantara Dhigu Maldives Resort or any of the other best resorts in Maldives for families as fasting will not impact any of the guests at the resort islands.
