Seychelles Sea Turtle Festival – Getting Families Involved in Conservation

The third annual Seychelles Sea Turtle Festival is set to take place on Saturday, August 8th 2015 in the Seychelles providing a day where one can not only learn more about turtles and the importance of conservation, but have a fun family day out as well. The event will be hosted on Mahe’s Beau Vallon Beach and those interested in attending and in search of a Seychelles beach resort within easy reach of this site can consider AVANI Seychelles Barbarons Resort & Spa.

The Seychelles Sea Turtle Festival 2015 which will be marked by a Family Fun Day offering a wide range of activities for children as well. Inaugurated in 2013, the festival has gained in popularity with this year’s edition receiving financial backing from the Environment Trust Fund (ETF). Among the highlights of the event will be the artwork & photography competition. Visitors will also have a chance to learn more about the five endangered sea turtle species that inhabit the waters around the Seychelles, including Green and Hawksbill turtles, both of which nest on the local beaches.
