Sinhala and Tamil New Year 2019 – A time for culture and blessings

As you hear the sound made by the ‘koha’, a bird that makes an appearance during the Sinhala and Tamil New Year, this signifies the arrival of this special time for Sri Lankans. The festival marks the end of the harvest season. Citizens from all parts of the island such as Kandy, Colombo and Mirissa.
