Research based on 1.3 million social media accounts and posts showed that most of the people want to click a picture in the Asian city of Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka has plenty of scenic hotels and views, such as Berjaya Hotel Colombo and other similar hotels in Mount Lavinia for the best beach photos. Since Sri Lanka is an island, you’ll never run out of spots for beautiful beach photos and sunsets. Nature and wildlife the island boasts are diverse, so is the history and culture.

The research also found that 18 to 25-year-olds look for destinations that their friends have not previously been to, as they wish to be the first to find the new destination, take a picture and go on to post it on their social media accounts.
