Sri Lanka launched a new tourist-friendly tuk-tuk service a couple of weeks ago at the Galle Face Green in Colombo. It was held under the patronage of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe. The ‘tourist friendly’ logo is a mark the that sets apart those who can provide services of high quality to tourists who wish to travel in and around Colombo.

The logo is given only to the tuk-tuk drivers who have completed the full training course, certifications were awarded by the Prime Minister at the event. The initiative will at first be limited to the Colombo area and will later spread out across the country. Tourists who will be residing in apartments in Colombo, for instance, the likes of One Galle Face will have no hassle getting about in the vicinity of Colombo.
