Sri Lanka to host Under-19 Asia Cup in December – Bringing Forth the Youth

Sri Lanka Cricket has officially announced that Sri Lanka will be hosting the Under-19 Asia Cup set to take place from December 8th-22nd 2016.

Details of the tournament’s schedule are in the process of being discussed and confirmed. The executive committee of the Cricket Board met in September to discuss the venues to be utilized. As per the final decision, the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota, the Galle International Cricket Stadium and the Uyanwatte Stadium in Matara, have all been chosen and confirmed to be the official venues for the event.

As the events are taking place along the southern coast of the island, visitors will have plenty of choices available when looking for a hotel. Galle is home to a variety of hotels and resorts, budget-friendly or luxurious, such as the Closenberg Hotel.
