Sri Lanka was recognized as a Global Tourism Destination by UNWTO –A Deserving Honour

The popular local publication, Daily Mirror recently revealed that the impressive boost in the performance in tourism in Sri Lanka has been noted at the 22nd Annual General Assembly of the United Nations World Tourism Organization that was held in September. Sri Lanka was represented by John Amaratunga, Minister of Tourism Development and Christian Religious Affairs, who was elected as a vice chair of the UNWTO General Assembly.
