Sri Lanka Wins Big at the Guangzhou International Travel Fair – Good News for the Island’s Tourism Industry!

Under the leadership of Chinthaka Liyanaarachchi, The Sri Lankan Tourism Promotion Bureau delivered an unforgettable campaign at the Guangzhou International Travel Fair which took place from the 1st to the 3rd of March. A total of fifteen companies from Sri Lanka, as well as Sri Lankan Airlines, took part in this event in order to promote the island as a prospective tourist destination.

Many participants who patronised the Sri Lankan pavilion acclaimed the performances that were conducted, which included traditional dances. The beautiful décor that was reminiscent of traditional Sri Lankan architectural styles was also praised.

Given the success and reach of the event, it’s safe to say that tourist-centric entities in Sri Lanka, such as a Kalutara resort along the likes of AVANI Kalutara Resort would expect some Chinese tourists this year.
