In response to the high demand for air transportation within the Southeast Asian region, Thai Lion Air, an auxiliary of the largest private Indonesian airline, Lion Air, has increased their Jakarta to Bangkok connection to twice a day. The new SL 116 flight will depart at 9 a.m. (local time) from the Don Mueang International Airport and land at 12.30 p.m. at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. While the SL 117 return flight will depart from 1:10 p.m. and land at 5 p.m., in Bangkok.

The additional flight will help tap into the potential opportunities which will arise by connecting travellers from Jakarta to Asian cities such as Singapore, Chian Mai, Chian Rai, Chengdu and Bangkok. A city which is home to many a Bangkok resort including the likes of Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort.
