Thailand tourism expected to bounce back after bomb attacks – optimism in the face of turbulence

Following the bomb attacks in Thailand in August, it was predicted that the country would lose more than 200,000 tourist visitors in 2016. The areas affected by the attacks are those that are popular tourist destinations. Phuket and Hua Hin were two spots that felt the effects of the bomb blast to a great extent. Many foreign embassies also issued a warning to tourists who plan to visit this region. However, despite these gloomy predictions for Thailand’s tourism industry, the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) jubilantly announced that Thailand’s tourists were steadily increasing. Apart from in the capital and Thailand’s resort islands, travellers also have the option of staying at a hotel Chiang Rai has to offer such as Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort.
