The Fairway Galle Literary Festival 2018 – A Celebration of the Written Word and More

The annual Fairway Galle Literary Festival (GLF) is set to take place this month and yet again will feature a diverse range of local and international authors, poets, journalists and more. Those planning on travelling around Sri Lanka be it by rail, road or air by way of such domestic airline services as Cinnamon Air can make it a point to head to the south coast city of Galle where one can attend the many festival events. Set to take place from 24th to 28th January 2018, the Fairway Galle Literary Festival 2018 has become one of south east Asia’s most anticipated literary festivals; panel discussions with writers, writing workshops, poetry slams, wine tasting and art shows are just some of the events one can look forward to here. Pankaj Mishra, Alexander Mc Call Smith, Bachi Karkaria, Dame Maggie Smith, Ashok Ferrey, Bachi Karkaria and Emily Dobbs are a few of the key personalities who will be attending this year’s GLF.
