The Hong Kong International Film Festival 2019 Successfully Held – A Treat for Cinephiles

The annual Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF) reached a successful completion last month and once again gave the public a chance to watch some of the latest Asian and international films. The festival which began on 18th March ran till 4th April and included screenings at venues within easy reach of hotels in Wan Chai, Hong Kong; screening locations included the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, the Hong Kong Science Museum and the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre close to Cosmo Hotel Hong Kong.

Held under the theme “Colours in the Dark”, the Hong Kong International Film Festival 2019 marked the event’s 43rd edition and attracted renowned directors, actors and actresses, screenwriters and more. The festival opened with the screening of the film “Bodies at Rest” directed by Renny Harlin, while the closing film of HKIFF was “By the Grace of God” by French filmmaker François Ozon.
