The Wedding Show at BMICH – Bells ‘A Ringing

Planning your wedding? The Wedding Show, a globally recognised wedding exhibition featured at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) this February. Organised by Asia Exhibition and Conventions, the tenth incarnation of this event ran over three days in February, between the 24th and 26th of the month. From ten in the morning to eight in the evening, the exhibition allowed would-be brides and grooms the opportunity to talk to industry experts spread out across over two hundred stalls. These included professionals such as wedding planners, photographers, jewellery designers, bridal beauty salons, catering services and travel agents. Sri Lanka’s many hotels and resorts, such as Jetwing Sea, for example (a Negombo hotel located by the beach), are popular wedding venues. As such the exhibition also featured stalls representing a number of luxury hotels in the country. If you missed this event, keep an eye out for the next one which is set to run in April.
