A business-to-business event held annually, Travel Trade Maldives (TTM) reached its successful completion last month. Held from 11th to 13th June, TTM attracted a large number of suppliers, travel agents and travel professionals; it provided an ideal networking point for those involved in the local travel trade industry to connect with them. Among the key aspects focused on this year was the use of analytics, artificial intelligence and dynamic pricing which could be harnessed in an effective manner.
The country is one of the most popular tourist destinations with travellers in search of the top resorts in Maldives having the chance to stay at a number of luxury properties like The Nautilus Maldives. Such events are expected to further encourage those in the industry and help to reach the goal of two million tourist arrivals in 2020 with USD 3.5 billion annual receipts.
