Tumpek Uduh Festival Bali, Indonesia – Offerings to the God of Food!

The Tempek Uduh is an event celebrated every 210 days, dedicated to the “God of Food” on the island of Bali. Offerings are made by locals to the God of Food by means of crops and farm products harvested from the many plantations across the island.

The festival took place on December 1st and was a beautiful experience with devotees placing their offerings under select trees on the island. This festival aims to remind locals about the importance of plants and natural vegetation (which is a source of food for them) and promotes the appreciation of the peaceful living of human beings across the world.

Visitors staying at any of the Seminyak Beach hotels can look to witness this festival to get a better insight into the local culture. Properties such as Montigo Resorts Seminyak and other accommodation options in the region could help direct you to where the festivities will be held when the next Tumpek Uduh Festival is held in Bali.
