Valentine’s Day 2019 in Thailand – Celebrating ‘Wan Valentine’ Around the Country

Valentine’s Day or ‘Wan Valentine’ as it is locally known was celebrated in various parts of Thailand on 14th February, as it is done around the world. The capital, Bangkok, was one of the most popular places for Valentine’s Day related activities. The Trimurti Shrine which can be found in the heart of the city was frequented by locals as they made offerings of red roses for good luck and love. Another highlight was the Pak Khlong Talat, a local flower and vegetable market which is particularly lively during this time as it’s full of people looking to buy flowers and bouquets.

Those in other parts of the country had much to look forward to as well including at beachside getaways at Koh Samu resorts. For those who wanted to mix business with pleasure, romantic dinner packages were available at hotels like Avani Khon Kaen Hotel & Convention Centre which is known for having its own Khon Kaen meeting venues.
