Vegetarian Festival in Bangkok 2018 – A Day for Vegans…

Also known as the Tesagan Gin Je Festival, the Vegetarian Festival in Bangkok is popular as one of the major festivals in the city. It was held from 1st to 9th October 2018 in Chinatown. Both the tourists and locals alike had the opportunity to savour completely vegetarian dishes that were prepared using diverse creations, recipes, and surprises. During the festival, temples in Chinatown are decorated with candles, lanterns and yellow flags. Staying true to its name, this vegan festival usually does not include food cooked with animal products and pungent ingredients such as garlic and onion. During the Vegetarian Festival week, many tourists who were residing at many Koh Samui resorts the likes of Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort had the opportunity to enjoy a stunning dragon dance performance, fireworks, and Chinese opera performances.
