A Traveller’s Road to Entering Thailand from May 2022

Thailand entered into its ‘most open’ state in the month of May since the pandemic hit the tourism industry. While tourists hoping to travel to a hotel in Koh Phangan or any other city in the country were doubtful about the exact safety measures that were followed by the country, the relaxed entry process to one’s vacation at Anantara Rasananda Koh Phangan Villas was rather simple.

Since the 3rd of May 2022, vaccinated travellers were allowed to travel to the country without a COVID-19 test or quarantine, possessing a minimum of USD 10,000 insurance coverage and a Thailand pass prior to departure, whereas unvaccinated travellers were required to provide a negative PCR COVID-19 test result along with the aforementioned insurance and pass. Once arriving in the country, vaccinated travellers were allowed to enjoy a hassle-free vacation while the unvaccinated were subjected to a 5-day quarantine if they had failed to provide a negative COVID-19 PCR test result.
