Thailand hosted a futuristic augmented reality exhibition from the 3rd to the 30th of November 2022 at the Thailand Creative and Design Centre (TCDC), signifying the country’s primary tourist attractions. As reported on Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) News on the 3rd of November 2022, this event was jointly held by Thailand’s Creative Economy Agency (CEA), Holowisp, and Thailand Creative and Design Centre (TCDC), along with five Thai AR creators. The programme aimed to boost the country’s tourism so that the tourist inflow to the main cities of the country as well as to luxury resorts in Koh Samui and other islands will grow. Therefore, the event was an uplifting measure for resorts all over the country like Santiburi Koh Samui.
The event showcased nine ultra-modern designs by the five creators who are a part of Thailand’s Meta Spark AR community. These individuals can be identified as Pansavuth Khehasukcharoen, Wanisara Chompoorat, Opas Sang-ue, Keetapol Boonprachak, and Sufee Yama, who touched on various regions of the country with their AR effects.
