ABTA – The Travel Association, a leading travel industry association in the United Kingdom, has identified Zambia as a prominent destination to watch in 2024. This recognition was highlighted on the TTG Media news website on 5th January 2024. Graeme Buck, Director of Communications for ABTA, emphasised the role of “Destinations to Watch” as a valuable resource for travellers seeking inspiration for their upcoming adventures in 2024. Among the ten highlighted destinations, Zambia stands out for several reasons.
Amongst these is the stunning Victoria Falls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located close to The Royal Livingstone Victoria Falls Zambia Hotel by Anantara; the awe-inspiring power and majesty of the cascading water create a breathtaking spectacle, aptly nicknamed the “Smoke that Thunders”. Additionally, for those staying at luxury hotels in Zambia near the falls and seeking an adrenaline rush, the mighty Zambezi River offers what ABTA refers to as some of the world’s most spectacular white-water rafting experiences.
