Although Abu Dhabi had simple entry rules and regulations earlier, things changed when it reported a sudden increase of COVID-19 detections in January 2021. Entry rules were tightened making it mandatory for travellers to do a PCR test on arrival, on day IV, and then on day VIII.
Travellers (including the residents and citizens) who have already got vaccinated are exempted from this regulation. Thus, boards of management of 5-star hotels in Abu Dhabi the likes of Anantara Eastern Mangroves Abu Dhabi Hotel have generally requested travellers to visit Abu Dhabi having a clear understanding of the safety measures newly established in the country. In addition to these, the government also keeps a close eye on the health and safety measures taken by the hotels and restaurants in the country.
