With its pristine coasts and lush mountain getaways, Sri Lanka has become one of the most popular destinations in South Asia for adventure travel. The newest thrill ride on offer is the sport known as paramotoring which gives one a chance to enjoy stunning bird’s eye views of such South Coast locales as Bentota while soaring above on a glider manned by a trained instructor. Another popular adventure sport in the island is kite-surfing which can be enjoyed along the West Coast in coastal towns like Negombo. Travellers in search of Sri Lanka beach resorts from which to enjoy such beach activities can consider Club Hotel Dolphin. A part of marketing the island as an adventure holiday destination by the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau has been to highlight a range of other activities for those interested in active pursuits including hot air ballooning, rock climbing, diving, trekking, deep sea fishing and rock climbing.
