Launched in March 2020, the Angkor Eye is the latest attraction in the Cambodian city of Siem Reap. Things to do when here have long been dominated by visits to the famed Angkor Wat complex, but now, locals and tourists can enjoy a whole new experience as they ride this Ferris wheel. Located near the Cambodian Cultural Village and within a five-minute walk from Anantara Angkor Resort, thisprominent structure is 85 metres in height and is the first of its kind in the country.
The Angkor Eye features 48 air-conditioned cabins which can accommodate up to four people each. The ride takes around 18 minutes and passengers can look forward to impressive 360° panoramas of the surrounding areas which include the Angkor Wat Complex and the idyllic Siem Reap countryside. Those taking a ride at night can also discover a whole new perspective of the city as it comes to life.
