Azerbaijan Airlines introduced direct flights connecting Baku to Malé, Maldives, with the inaugural flight landing on November 9 at Velana International Airport. The milestone event was celebrated with a warm welcome, including traditional garlands symbolising the hospitality shared between the two nations.
This new route caters to the increasing demand for winter escapes, offering a seamless connection to the tropical allure of the Maldives. Operating every Monday and Saturday, the service promises to attract Azerbaijani travellers, particularly those drawn to the renowned Maldives 5 Star resorts, such as the premium Heritance Aarah. Tickets are available through the airline’s official channels and authorised agents.
Looking ahead, the airline is optimistic about expanding its reach, potentially adding more frequent flights as demand grows for this tropical escape.
