Bali Expects more Tourist Arrivals after the Eruption – Rising from the Ashes

Bali’s largest inbound market, China, recently withdrew its travel caution stating that the island is now a safe place to travel. The aviation authority of China suspended all flights to Bali in December 2017 until the threat of volcanic ashes from Mount Agung cleared.

According to reports, the occupancies and arrivals to Bali are now on the rise after it dramatically dropped during November last year. Indonesia’s president Joko Widodo announced that it is a safe destination for holidaymakers as long as you base yourself in a Bali resort hotel the likes of Anantara Seminyak Bali Resort, which is located away from the exclusion zone close to the volcano. In one of his tweets he mentioned that “Bali is safe, please holiday in Bali. This afternoon Kuta beach is busy, try and see, busy, very busy,” and also tweeted some photos of him walking barefoot along one of the most famous beaches in the country, Kuta Beach.
