The host of CNN’s renowned travel programme, James Williams recently took viewers on a 24-hour journey to Bangkok and Ayutthaya, the former capital of the Thai capital. The journey commenced with one of the famous Bangkok cruises along the Chao Phraya River to Wat Pho where a senior monk guided him through the temple complex. As part of the programme, viewers were then taken to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ayutthaya (Thailand’s former capital) by way of a refurbished rice barge of Anantara Cruises. The tour of the city included a few famous hotels and Bangkok’s iconic architectural creation MahaNakhon. Also featured was a hotel that is well known among international actors and musicians visiting Bangkok. Run by the famous musician and actor, Krissada Sukosol Clapp or Noi, the hotel features historical monuments and artworks from Bangkok’s proud history.
