The recently conducted Thailand Tourist Forum had some very positive news for the city. Industry experts who attended the event stated that Bangkok is well on its way to becoming the world’s next megacity within the next five years. One of the key indicators of this is the expeditiously developing subway which will tap into many more areas, connecting them to the city. The subway network is set to dwarf the London subway system as well as that of New York.
The opening address of the forum was delivered by the CEO of Sansiri (one of Thailand’s largest real-estate developers), and was titled “Megacity Bangkok: A Tourism and Hotel Futurescape”. This emphasis on Bangkok’s destiny to become a metropolitan travel destination is definitely good news for many Sathorn Hotels such as the likes of Anantara Sathorn Bangkok Hotel.
