Thailand’s capital was voted the Best City in the Asia Pacific region as part of the third edition of the Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards Asia Pacific. The rankings are determined by the magazine’s readers who are asked to vote on the best cities and islands in Asia.
The best city in Asia is usually expected to have several winning traits that make it stand out from the rest, like delectable street food, five-star service, friendly locals and a non-stop vibrant culture. This year, Bangkok was awarded the honour as a testament to its vibrant array of gilded temples, modern architectural wonders, rich culinary landscape, shopping experiences and enticing nightlife. Over the years, the vast selection of resorts and 4 star hotels in Bangkok such as the Trinidee Trendy Khaosan have also made the city a prime travel destination for tourists.
