Bintan Resorts is sharpening its focus on the evolving preferences of Indian travellers, with wellness, experiential travel, and premium hospitality emerging as key growth drivers. The Indonesian island destination, located a short ferry ride from Singapore, welcomed more than 13,000 Indian visitors in 2025 and is now expanding its offerings to capture the rising demand from the market.
Across the island, Bintan hotels are enhancing their attractiveness through event venues, golf facilities, and signature sporting events, including marathons and triathlons, targeting travellers seeking active and immersive holidays. The destination is also strengthening its position in the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) segment alongside leisure tourism.
Luxury properties such as The Residence Bintan are central to the island’s strategy of attracting high-value travellers through curated and experience-led stays. Chief Operating Officer Abdul Wahab said increased trade engagement and stronger brand visibility across major Indian cities will remain a key priority for Bintan Resorts in 2026.
