C9 report shows surge in residential-driven hospitality investments in Phuket: Island Investment Ignited

According to a C9 Hotelworks report, longer-stay tourists are driving a boom in Thailand’s hospitality real estate market. With a 23% increase in visitor arrivals in 2024, Phuket is leading the way. Significant investment is being drawn to the rental market, especially to resort-style condominiums. Bill Barnett of C9 observes that long-term rentals are becoming more popular, attracting purchasers from Singapore, Hong Kong, and Thailand.

Phuket attracts investment due to its affordability compared to Singapore, where villa and condo prices are equal, and lower luxury goods and education costs. Its popularity for steady, long-term rental returns is further cemented by the fact that it is accessible by many flights. Options like Layan Life, a transformative sanctuary channelling traditional wisdom and modern expertise for holistic wellbeing, alongside the growing popularity of wellness retreats in Phuket, exemplify this trend.
