Angkor Wat hotels can now anticipate a high inflow of guests as Cambodia forecasts a hopeful figure of tourist arrivals to the country by the end of 2022 and by the year 2026. Therefore, hotels like FCC Angkor will be at an advantage, as the country steps into a recovery stage following the effects of COVID-19 on the tourism industry.

According to the Prime Minister’s address on World Tourism Day, the country hopes to welcome a total of 1.5 – 2 million tourists by December 2022 and a massive figure of 7 million by 2026. This hopeful statement was made while emphasising that the tourism industry has been a key contributing factor to the socio-economic development of the country and requested active participation from his fellow countrymen to restore the industry.
